Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Ensuring Uniformity of Measurements” dated June 22, 2023 No. 1979

Metrological infrastructure

In the Republic of Tajikistan metrological activity and types of works directed on maintenance of uniformity of measurements are carried out by metrological services of the Republic of Tajikistan. The metrological service of the Republic of Tajikistan consists of the state metrological service, metrological services of state bodies and metrological services of legal bodies.

The state metrological service headed by the authorized state body includes state metrological services of Gorno-Badakhshan region, regions, Dushanbe, cities and districts of republican subordination.

State bodies and legal entities, if necessary, may establish metrological services to carry out works to ensure the uniformity of measurements, as well as to realize metrological control. 2. Metrological services of state bodies and legal entities: 1) being an accredited, perform works on verification and calibration of measuring instruments; 2) develop projects of normative documents on ensuring the uniformity of measurements. 3. Rights and duties of metrological services of state bodies shall be determined by the regulations approved by state bodies and agreed with the authorized state body. Rights and duties of metrological services of legal entities shall be determined in accordance with their charters and regulations of the state metrological service. 4. Officials of metrological services of state bodies and legal entities shall be obliged at realization of their activity not to allow disclosure of state, commercial or other confidentiality protected by the law.

The Agency for standardization, metrology, certification and trade inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is not currently a signatory to the CIPM MRA or an associate member of the CGPM, and does not have the right to use the CIPM MRA logo.
