The 24th meeting of COOMET TCPR “Photometry and Radiometry” is taking place on 6–7 October 2026, hosted by AzMİ, Azerbaijan.
The meeting covers TCPR activities over the past period, information from the COOMET Secretariat and the COOMET Joint Committee for Measurement Standards, as well as current issues related to cooperation in photometry and radiometry.
A significant part of the programme is devoted to ongoing COOMET comparisons. Participants are discussing key, supplementary and pilot comparisons covering spectral transmittance, laser power responsivity, optical fibre measurements, colour characteristics and other areas of photometry and radiometry.
Particular attention is given to the long-term programme of COOMET key comparisons, planning of new projects and proposals for further development of comparison activities.
Representatives of National Metrology Institutes also share updates on the development of measurement standards and current work in photometry and radiometry.
The second working day includes technical discussions on measurements and comparisons, CMC submission and review, and confirmation of competence based on comparison results.
The programme also includes a visit to the laboratories of AzMİ, Azerbaijan, providing an additional opportunity for professional exchange and discussion of practical measurement issues.
The work of TCPR brings together technical and expert topics that support the further development of measurement capabilities, international comparisons and cooperation among COOMET member institutions in photometry and radiometry.
