The 40th online meeting of COOMET TCQF — the Quality Forum Technical Committee — took place on 28 September 2026.
The meeting addressed current issues related to the activities of the COOMET Quality Forum, results of completed peer reviews and further development of the assessment of quality management systems of National Metrology Institutes and Designated Institutes.
TCQF members reviewed the results of the peer review of the quality management system of BelGIM, Belarus, considered the auditor’s report and adopted the relevant decisions based on the assessment results.
TCQF members also reviewed the written presentation of the quality management system of AzMİ, Azerbaijan. Following discussion of several issues, a vote was held and the written presentation was accepted. AzMİ was admitted to the next stage — the oral presentation of its quality management system at the COOMET Quality Forum.
Particular attention was given to updating the COOMET Quality Forum documents, including the formation of a dedicated working group for this purpose.
One of the key organizational items was the election of the TCQF Chair. Following the vote, Dina Chepurnaya, representative of VNIIFTRI, Russia, was elected Chair of COOMET TCQF for a second term.
TCQF members also discussed the planning of future peer reviews of metrology institutions in Kazakhstan and Cuba, as well as proposals for further development of the Quality Forum activities.
The work of TCQF contributes to maintaining an effective quality system within the CIPM MRA, exchange of experience among COOMET member institutions and further cooperation in quality assurance in metrology.
