On 23–25 September 2026, COOMET participated in the 50th meeting of the Joint Committee of the Regional Metrology Organizations and the BIPM (JCRB), held online.
The international meeting brought together representatives of the BIPM, CIPM and the Regional Metrology Organizations AFRIMETS, APMP, COOMET, EURAMET, GULFMET and SIM.
The meeting addressed current issues related to implementation of the CIPM MRA, international comparisons, review of Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMCs), operation of the KCDB, capacity building and knowledge transfer, and revision of CIPM MRA documents.
COOMET presented a report on its current activities, key results and priority areas for further work. Particular attention was given to the performance of CMC review processes, comparisons lasting more than five years, and further interaction among the RMOs.
COOMET participation in the JCRB contributes to coordination within the CIPM MRA, exchange of experience among RMOs and further development of international cooperation in metrology.
