COOMET TCM Training on Current Issues and Practice in Pressure Measurement

24 Sep 2026

Following the main working programme of the 30th meeting of COOMET TCM “Mass and Related Quantities” in Almaty, a training on “Current Issues and Practice in Pressure Measurement” is taking place.

Capacity building and knowledge transfer initiatives traditionally form part of the agenda of TCM meetings and represent an important element of COOMET activities aimed at supporting the professional development of specialists from its member institutions.

The training is delivered by Roman Teteruk, Chair of the TCM Subcommittee on Pressure and representative of VNIIM, Russia.

The programme covers the history and development of pressure measurement, modern approaches and advanced technologies in this field, as well as practical aspects of ensuring measurement accuracy and traceability.

Particular attention is given to the practical exchange of experience among specialists. The training is conducted in an interactive format, enabling participants to discuss technical issues and share experience in the application of different pressure measurement methods and equipment.

A dedicated question-and-answer session provides participants with an opportunity to discuss topics of particular interest directly with the expert and consider practical situations encountered in metrology laboratories.

Such training activities contribute to professional development, knowledge transfer among COOMET member institutions and stronger expert capacity in pressure measurement.
