On June 17, 2026, a regular meeting of the Regional Legal Metrology Organizations Round Table (RLMO RT) was held online. The event brought heartfelt participation from heads and experts of regional metrology organizations, including AFRIMETS, APLMF, GULFMET, WELMEC, COOMET, and SIM.
Marat Yunusov, Chairperson of the COOMET Technical Committee for Legal Metrology (TCLM), presented the latest update on the organization's activities and current projects.
Key Topics of the Meeting:
Digitalization: The OIML Digitalization Task Group (DTG) delivered an activity report, including progress made by the Subcommittee on eLearning. Participants exchanged regional experiences on implementing digital technologies.
Projects and Research: Progress on legal metrology software and the findings of the study on HDRD fuel metering were reviewed.
Platform Development: OIML representatives presented updates on the e-learning platform, the OIML-CS certification system, and new tools for the official website and the RLMO RT PG Workspace.
Support for Developing Countries: Current activities of the CEEMS Advisory Group (CEEMS AG) were discussed.
In closing, the participants considered potential topics for upcoming CIML workshops and seminars, clarified the scope and remit of the Round Table, and agreed on the date for the next meeting.
